Vera Kace
Vera Kace is an Lisbon based artist who focus on themes like identity, the subconscious as a mean to achieve freedom and surrender. In her work she’s extremely inspired by poet Ricardo Reis, estoic philosophy and colour as a mean for expression.
Kace received a BFA in Painting with minor in Drawing from Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and attended a graphic design course from Antonio Arroio high school.
In 2018 she had the opportunity to focus on her academic training at AARP in Porto a school dedicated to figurative drawing where she learned 19 century drawing Tecnhiques with sculptor and draftsman Daniel gamelas. She dedicated to online and in person workshops in order to learn more Tecnhiques from the artist whom she admire like Ivan Loginov, Patrick Byernes, Savannah Tate Cuff, Alyssa Monks, Steven Assael, Will St John, Amaya Gurpride, Anna Wakitsch, Dina Brodsky and ali cavanaugh.
From 2020 to 2022 she dedicated her time with a painting teaching position at E-Art Academy. Right now her main focus is her Art practice, her podcast (a painters mind) and her YouTube channel where she shares her creative process and more.
